Alan Lee Ditmore, 63, of Huntsville passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born October 7, 1960, in Wichita, KS to Billie Eugene Ditmore and Helen (Hartwick) Ditmore. He graduated from Springdale High School and was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church in Huntsville. Alan had retired after 37 years at Kawneer in Springdale and was presently employed by Ducommon in Huntsville. Most people that knew Alan would describe him as an honest, hard-working and fun-loving man that believed in loving and supporting his family through any trial placed upon his shoulders. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved fishing. For him, fishing was more than a hobby, it was a reason for living and brought great peace and joy into his life. Alan was a man with a quick smile, an infectious laugh and an opinion that was always correct.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Ditmore; step father, Charles Coe and grandson, Baby David Joey, who was born into heaven.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Ditmore of the home; two sons, Dugan Ditmore and wife Savannah of Huntsville and Bryan Ditmore and wife Christine of Rogers; mother, Helen (Hartwick) Coe of Hindsville; sister, Terri Ditmore Kennedy and husband Don of Huntsville; brother, Gary Ditmore and wife Renee of Huntsville; step son, Nicholas Walters of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Deacon James, Stella Beth, John, Brianna, Nikkiya and Desmond and one great grandson, Keelan.
The family will be having a memorial trout fishing float to be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
