Robert Wayne Counts

Robert Wayne Counts, 77 of West Fork, AR, died January 1, 2019 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, AR, surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 2, 1941 in Fayetteville, AR to Billy and Zelma (Kirksey) Counts.

Wayne started out as a butcher at Hawkins Meat Company. He was a meat manager at Southgate IGA in Fayetteville, AR for a few years. He was also a butcher at Mhoon Beef Company. He enjoyed camping with his family and trout fishing at Roaring River Stake Park. He loved mowing and weed eating his immaculate yard. He also took great pride in his beautiful vegetable garden, and loved to share his bountiful harvest with family and friends.

Wayne was a member of the Round Mountain Community Church in Fayetteville, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Zelma Counts, and granddaughter Heather Marie Omohundro.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Darlene of the home; daughter Dianne (Larry) Omohundro of West Fork, AR; and one grandson Dwayne (Jessica) Omohundro of Elkins, all of who he was very proud of.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5-7PM at the Round Mountain Community Church in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10AM at the church with Pastor Tim Beers officiating.
