Sierra Maysel Marie Grindstaff

Sierra Maysel Marie Grindstaff, 17 of Elkins passed away, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born October 21, 2000 to Michael Grindstaff and Mandy Burkett.

She was very active in the Elkins High School and surrounding community. She was in Choir, Spanish Club, GT, Art Club, Quiz Bowl, Science Club, Junior Class Play and Leo Club.

She was preceded in death by her papa, Johnnie Burkett and her grandma, Maysel Grindstaff.

Survivors include her mother, Mandy Burkett of Springdale; father, Mike Grindstaff and wife Kim of Springdale; three brothers, Stevon Grindstaff of Huntsville, Seth Grindstaff and Mason Strickland both of Springdale; five sisters, Mikaila Beem of Tulsa, Andrea Grindstaff of Fayetteville, Phoebe Hodges of Elkins, Kylee Strickland and Alyssa Blount both of Springdale; Step father, Eric Hodges of Elkins; grandparents, Nona McVey, Jack Grindstaff and Diane McGraw all of Springdale and Billy Spears of Rogers; great grandparents, Lela Burkett of Springdale and Mary Downing of Rogers and several other family members and friends.

There will be a viewing at the Madison County Funeral Service of Elkins Thursday, June 21st, from 9AM-3PM. A Celebration of Life will be 2PM, Friday, June 22nd, at the Elkins High School auditorium with Rev. Elvon “Bubby” Wolf officiating.
