Allen Austin Atwood, Age 61, of Huntsville, AR, after a sudden and severe stroke, died at Washington Regional Medical Center Monday, May 20, 2024. He was born in Shreveport, LA on December 17, 1962 to Alfred Arnold Atwood and Jewel Dean Callaway.
He leaves behind his forever partner and love of his life, Dianne Atwood of the home; son Nicholas Ross (Debra) of Wichita Falls, TX; two daughters Amanda Bickham (Keith) of Gray, TX and Amber Morton of Shreveport, LA; step daughters Nocona Dodson and Carson Roddy, Huntsville, AR; sister Chris Seeder (James) of Louisiana; grandsons Tyler Ross (Kerys), Zac Ross and Aiden Botello of Wichita Falls; Bronson DeFatta, Rowdy Minnick and Taylor Morton of Gray, TX; Logan Roddy (Teresa), Cade Roddy (Brittany), Sam Roddy (Bridgette), Peyton Dodson and “his boy” Jake Roddy (Dezeray), all of Huntsville; granddaughters Leigh Jones (Chris) of Farmington, AR and Lainey Dodson of Huntsville; 10 great-grandsons and 9 great-granddaughters; three faithful dog children Boo, Little Man and Sage. Allen was a loyal and helpful friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Allen worked for Superior Industries until its closing then was self-employed as a welder, cattle hauler, mechanic and handyman. He was always willing to help his friends and neighbors. He had the heart and lived the life of a cowboy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 beginning at 2 pm at his shop. Please bring stories and photos to share. Allen loved BIG! He will be loved and missed always!
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
