Betty Belle House, 93 of Compton, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the home of Jimmy and Kaye House surrounded by love. She was born July 1, 1930 in Boxley, Arkansas to the late Doy and Blanche (Villines) Scroggins. She loved her flowers, gardening, canning, and family dinners. Her favorite pastime was playing rummy with her kids and grands. She was a lifelong member of Boxley Baptist Church. She fiercely loved the Lord and was happy to tell anyone who listened. She taught her family about sacrifice, mercy, patience, and loving others even when they didn’t deserve it. Her immediate response to all situations was always “Give GRACE first.” There were big cheers in heaven for the kindest, sweetest, gentlest and most beautiful soul.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dennis House, and an infant twin.
She is survived by daughters Judy McKinnon (Donald) of Springdale, Janet Keck (Roy) of Rogers, Rebecca Davidson (Danny) of Compton; son Jimmy House (Kaye) of Compton; grandchildren Keisha Stearle (Ryan), Ray McKinnon (Arrow), Tyler Harper (Jody), Russell Keck (Sunnie), Linsey Sims (Bobby), Nathan Davidson (Maggie), Courtney Whitsell (Garrett), James House (Mandy), Todd House (Kortnie); fifteen great grandchildren (number sixteen on the way), six step great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be 2PM, Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Boxley Baptist Church in Boxley, Arkansas with Brother Claud Williams officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery at Boxley. Pallbearers will be Jamie House, Todd House, Ray McKinnon, Tyler Harper, Nathan Davidson, and Bobby Sims. Honorary pallbearers are Dewey Harper, Ryan Stearle, Garrett Whitsell, all grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
