Betty Ann Scates

Betty Ann Scates, 73, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at her home. She was born January 19,1950 in Springdale, Arkansas to Elvin and Letha (Means) James. She was a longtime member of the Astounding Grace Church of Hindsville.  She was a strong Christian woman of great integrity.  She was MOM to everybody.  She loved her summertime flower garden and gospel singing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hayden Mack Scates; and her in laws, Henry and Truley Scates.

Survivors include her daughter, Christy Scates of Springdale; son, Brook Scates and wife Heather of Springdale and grandchildren, Garrett and Laramie Wieland and Taten and Kysen Scates.

Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2023 from 6-7 P.M. at the Astounding Grace Church in Hindsville.  The service will be at 7 P.M. with Brother Gary Digby and Randall Galloway officiating and a meal will follow. A graveside service will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10 A.M. at Marshall Cemetery in Forum.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
