Charles Edward “C.E” McGinnis, 74 of Elkins passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fayetteville, AR on May 21, 1947. He was a member of the Church of Truth in Goshen and has been driving trucks since the age of 12 and has done so for 61 yrs.
He was preceded in death by wife of 50 yrs, Anna Florence (Smith) McGinnis; brothers, Lanny McGinnis and Jeff White; sister, Norma Kay Coon; mother, Norma Jean (Thomas) White and stepfather, Ira Earl White.
Survivors include his children, Charles “Dean” McGinnis and wife Pam of Elkins, Edward McGinnis of Mulberry, Wesley McGinnis and wife Sabrina and Lena McGinnis both of Springdale; sister, Portia Foster of Richmond, KY; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5-8PM at the Church of Truth located 122 Tuttle Rd, Goshen. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1PM at the church with Wesley McGinnis and Clarence Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Sonora Cemetery.
