Della Mae (Gann) Vanhook, 78, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her granddaughter’s home on March 4, 2025, with Willard Walker Hospice.
She was born May 6, 1946, to Gerald Gilbert and Oma Mae (Kinion) Gann in Southgate, California.
She married Alvin Lee Vanhook on June 27,1963. They raised two children, Dwunna and Randy Vanhook on their farm in Clifty. She loved being a stay-at-home mom, raising her children and working on the farm. She also loved driving the school bus, playing at the casino, riding horses, going camping, fishing and swimming with her family. She was always trying to win the lottery so she could travel more, which she also enjoyed doing. She had a huge heart when it came to loving and caring for her family, friends and extended family members.
Della was preceded in death by her husband Lee, her parents, her grandmother Ruby Humphries, a sister Gearldine (Gerry) Johnson, a nephew Burt Johnson and a niece Laura Vanhook.
She is survived by her daughter Dwunna and daughter-in-law Martha Vanhook of Huntsville; her son Randy Vanhook of Springdale; two grandchildren Justin and wife Johanna Canion and Casey and husband Lee Ford; five great grandchildren David and Colton Ford, Ember, Jessiah, and Avril Kale. She also had several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
Graveside services will be March 15, 2025, at 11 AM at Rambo Cemetery 9020 Cobble LN. Rogers, AR. 72756. All family and friends are welcome to join the family for the graveside service. There will be a luncheon at War Eagle Mill, Sharp’s side weather permitting after the services.
