Donald Beauchamp Obituary

Donald Ray Beauchamp, 84 of Huntsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, February 23, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born December 1, 1939 in Malvern, Arkansas to Clyde Morgan Beauchamp and Mary Ellen (Lloyd) Beauchamp. He was married to the love of his life for 64 years and loved to dance with her to old school rock and roll. He was ornery, he loved his family dearly, and he loved to tease them even more. His CB handle was King Coyote, and he gave all his grandkids handles. They would take turns riding with him and learning the truck parts. His granddaughter took that love of “the brake named Jake” to heart and works in logistics now because of him. He built a special treehouse for one grandson. He loved to work on old cars and restored a 1976 Ford with another grandson. He was a father figure to many. He was a man’s man and taught many boys how to be men.  He was outspoken, speaking the truth in love. Most importantly, he came to know the Lord in 2022. His son-in-law Ted began helping him with his physical needs and over the course of nine months helped him know Jesus as his Savior. He will long be remembered by his kids, grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, and friends with too many good stories to tell here.

Donald was preceded in death by two sons, James Ronald Beauchamp and Donald Clyde Beauchamp; a son-in-law, Patrick Shane Donahoe; a grandson, Zackery Allen McCoy; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy Joe Beauchamp Sr. and Marlin Lea Beauchamp; a brother Thomas (Joe) Beauchamp; and a sister, Francis Beauchamp Hoskins.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Beauchamp; his daughter Lisa McCoy; his daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Ted Walker; grandsons Joshua Don McCoy, Cody Shane Donahoe and Donald Kilyn Donahoe; granddaughter Kayla Patricia Dollins and husband Justin; sister-in-law Evelyn Sue Beauchamp; and numerous step grands, great grands, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 27 at 12pm at Wesley Cemetery with Brother Ted Walker officiating.  A visitation will be graveside beginning one hour prior to service.

Pallbearers are Ted Walker, Cody Donohoe, Josh McCoy, Donald Kilyn Donahoe, Justin Dollins, and Roy McCoy.

Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Limore, Waylon Ray McCoy, Easton Beauchamp, Tayton Beauchamp, Clyde Morgan Beauchamp, Chism Donahoe, Brice Beauchamp, and Blane Beauchamp.
