Donnie Swager

Donnie Wayne “Swag” Swager, 75 of Georgetown passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He was born March 19, 1947 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to William and Gearldine Drake Swager.  Donnie married the love of his life Carol Davis Swagerright out of high school and they were the parents of their pride and joy Melissa Dawn.  Their family was later blessed by a bonus daughter Byrle Smith-Solomon who came to live with them when her mother passed.  

Donnie spent many years playing on local ball teams for Georgetown, Draketown, and others.

One of his passions in life was his cars.  He enjoyed racing different ones, but probably his most favorite was his little black # 13x in Mini-stock with which he won many races.  Most weekends you would find him on the track and Carol and many various family members in the stands cheering him on.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol Kay Davis Swager, and their beloved daughter Melissa Dawn Swager-Ferguson.

He is survived by their Grandchildren: Jordan and Shane Hollingsworth of Huntsville, Madison Frazier of Springdale, and Josh Frazier of Wesley;  Great Grandchildren: Braxton Hollingsworth,

Kinsley Hollingsworth, and Grayson Hollingsworth of Huntsville, and Lilly Frazier of Springdale, as well other family and many friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Services of Huntsville.

The family will be having a private memorial service.
