Elda (Schmidt) Earnest

          Elda Earnest, 94 of Huntsville passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home. She was born July 5, 1927 in Madison, WI to Burley Schmidt and Bertha (Gerke) Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Cullen Earnest; sister, Gloria Peters and brother, Darwin Schmidt.

Survivors include her two sons, Gary Earnest and wife Dianna of Huntsville and Alan Earnest and wife Pam of Angleton, TX; Grandchildren, Tonya, Josh, Shondah and Laurie; thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 10AM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Alex Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Sparks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Reeves, Jude Reeves, Maddox Montgomery, Danny Sweet, Tommy Thomas and Josh Earnest. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabe Wight and Wyatt Williams. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
