Freddie Joe Chailland

Freddie Joe Chailland, 70 of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Fayetteville.  He was born August 29, 1953 in Kennett, Missouri to Jessie Olin Chailland and Frances Elizabeth (Ross) Chailland.  He was a mechanic in the Navy.  He did Navy things at Navy places.  He highly recommends reading the book “Blind Man’s Bluff.”  He states:  Silver Bells to Dr. Odapps.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janet Sue Clark and Nancy Lynn Nichols. 

He is survived by “the finest woman I ever met, inside and out”, his wife of 41 years, Cynthia Chailland; two children, Jeremy Mink and Emily Bradley; two grandsons, Wesley Bradley and Spencer Bradley; and one great granddaughter, Eleanor Bradley.

A military memorial will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at a later date. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
