Obituary
Frederick Earl Eggestein, 74, of Springdale, Arkansas passed from this life peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 22, 2022.
He was born on March 25, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas to Leo Henry Eggestein and Ruth [Garoutte] Eggestein.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Ruth Eggestein and brothers-in-law William Young and Jeff Viall.
He is survived by daughters, Tammy Smith of Missouri, Chal Sims and husband Kirk of Lowell, Arkansas; Son, Frederick Leo Eggestein of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sisters,Karen Young of Show Low, Arizona, Arizona, Connie Whiteley and husband Loy Sr. of Springdale, Arkansas and Cristy Viall of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brother, Dan Eggestein and wife Ronda of Prescott Valley numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and plus other family and friends.
Fred hit the ground running and lived hard and fast. He loved life and family and never met a stranger. He was a collector of everything. He especially enjoyed military past and present, cavalry reenactments’, weapons and all things historical. He was an adventurer and traveled extensively always trying new and exciting things.
He was an architectural carpenter and over the road truck driver by trade along with many other side professions and odd jobs along the way.
There will be a Celebration of his interesting life to be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
