Gary William Farr, 84 of Kingston, passed away peacefully at his home January 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. He was born April 26, 1939 in Elmira, New York to Donald Leon Farr and Elizabeth (Moss) Farr. He served in the Army. He was a journeyman lineman, traveling near and far to bring power to the multitudes. More importantly, he was a child of the King saved by amazing grace.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Farr.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Christine Farr; children Wayne Farr of Washington, Dawn Reed of Texas, Floyd Farr of Colorado, William Farr of Oklahoma, Jennifer Sullivan of North Carolina, Gregory Papp of Michigan, Margaret Jaynes of North Carolina, and Elizabeth Carender of Arkansas; siblings Floyd Farr of Arizona, Margery Johns of Illinois, Elizabeth Richey of Arkansas, and Robert Farr of Washington; nineteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1 PM with Pastor Joe Serda officiating at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 2419 County Road 147, Kingston, Arkansas 72742. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at graveside.
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
