Gary Don Smith

Gary Don Smith of Pettigrew, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at his home, at the age of 74.  He was born on July 26, 1951 in Ukiah, California to Charles Thomas Smith and Mildred Blanch Phillips Smith.

Gary married the love of his life, Donna Elaine Bryant on September 12, 1977.  He served our country in the United States Army.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.  Gary had a love for music and while he was attending Ukiah High School, he was a drum player in a band and also played the saxophone

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Matthew Charles Smith and one brother, Donald Wayne Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna Elaine Smith of Pettigrew, Arkansas, one son, Christopher Don (Felicia) Smith of West Fork, Arkansas, one daughter, Michelle Leigh (Matthew) Brannan of Elkins, Arkansas, three grandchildren and one great-granchild. 

A Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Living Hope Assembly in Elkins, Arkansas.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Living Hope Assembly in Elkins, Arkansas with PastorDavid Mashburn officiating.  The Church is located at 19149 AR 74, Elkins, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials be made to Hope Cancer Resources, located at 5835 West Sunset Ave, Springdale, Arkansas.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service, Hindsville, Arkansas.
