Glenda Kay Garrett, 81 of Springdale passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Circle of Life in Springdale. She was born August 25, 1943 in Hale Center, Texas to Earl Cannon and Ocie (Perry) Cannon. She graduated Huntsville High School in 1961. She was preceded in Death by her parents; son, Waylon Garrett; four sisters, Evelyn, Lois, Retha and Juanita and three brothers, Lyndall, Kenneth and Dale.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Howard Garrett of the home; son, Rodney Lee Garrett and wife Karri of Mountain View, Arkansas; daughter, Sandra Edwards and husband Darrell of Cordell, Oklahoma; sisters, Veleta Russell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Reba Thornton of Abernathy, Texas and Bobbie Neal of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral Service will be held 10AM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Church of Truth in Goshen with Pastor Wesley McGuinnis officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Turner, Wesley Garrett, Austin Garrett, Kirk Lenze, Kerry Jones and Darrell Edwards. Honorary Pallbearer will be Cody Hart. Services will be broadcasted on Facebook Live thru the Madison County Funeral Service Facebook page. Funeral Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
