Hazel Virginia “Ginny” Watkins-Elsey, 93 of Lowell formerly of Madison County passed away, Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Fayetteville Health and Rehab. She was born May 22, 1926 in the Japton area of Madison County to Theodore Watkins and Lucy Kilpatrick-Watkins. She attended Aurora Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charley Elsey; two brothers, Silvester Watkins and Dean Watkins and sister, Wanda Miller. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Richards and husband Bill of Lowell and Belva Barnett of Fayetteville; three sisters, Alma Boyd, Imogene Ogden and Martha Hollaway; brother, Carmen Watkins; four grandchildren, Debbie Moppin and husband Jerry, Tammy Elsey, Tony Elsey and wife Lahoma and Sam Elsey; five great grandchildren, Andrea Carter and husband Bruce, Jennifer Bailey, Ericka Boivin and husband Tyler, Coty Elsey and wife Shelby, James Vickery and wife Misty; six great great grandchildren, Alexia Daniel Bailey, Logan Bailey, Hunter Carter, Nevaeh Boivin, Dakota Elsey and Timber Elsey a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
A graveside service will Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at McBroom Cemetery in Huntsville.
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tyler Boivin, Bruce Carter, Coty Elsey, Tony Elsey, Sam Elsey, Jerry Moppin and James Vickery.
