James Howard Samuels, 88 of Wesley passed away , Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. He was born April 11, 1937, in Wesley Arkansas to Lewis Jackson Samuels and Anna Elizabeth (Eaton) Samuels. He was a longtime past member of the Tuttle Church of Christ.He was a current member of the Elkins Church of Christ.
James loved fishing & gardening and helping others.
James was a long haul truck driver for over 40 years, there was not many places he hadn’t traveled. The stories James had of the many places he had been and things he had seen were the absolute Best… James Loved the Lord, and served Him everyday..
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 34 years, Brenda Samuels; son, Michael Samuels; stepchildren, Rhonda James and Carl Clayton Williams and sisters, Pauline Sloan, Leola McCoy and Jesse Bryant; brother, Lloyd Samuels.
Survivors include his children, Timothy Samuels and wife Amy of Waynesboro, TN, Todd Samuels and wife Caroline of Elmira, NY and Tracy Samuels and wife Kimberly of Lehigh, FL; three brothers, Lavon and Barbara Samuels, Gary and Kathy Samuels and Lanny Samuels; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Monday, May 12, 2025 at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at the church Tuesday at 11AM with Brother Craig Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be : Tim Samuels, Todd Samuels, Tracy Samuels, Shane Laird, Derrick Murphy,Roy Lewis
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
