James Donald Witt

James Donald Witt, 51 of Hindsville passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born January 22, 1970 in Huntsville to Donald Witt and Betty (Manley) Witt.

He served as a volunteer firefighter and first responder for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Jamie (Hunt) Witt of the home; children, Elizabeth Shifflett and husband Jerimiah of Fayetteville, Andrew Witt of Huntsville, James Samuels and Dominic Samuels both of Fayetteville, Christopher Hunt, Gabriella Witt and Matilda all of Hindsville; mother, Betty (Witt) Henman and husband Earl of Huntsville; brothers, Mike Witt and wife Twila of Huntsville and David Witt and wife Theresa of Hindsville; sisters, Debbie Laird of Hindsville and Donna Evans and husband Tim of Alabam; grandchildren, Beatrix Shifflett and Isaac Shifflett and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11AM, Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Church of Truth in Goshen with Pastor Wesley McGinnis officiating. A viewing will be prior to service and the interment will be private.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
