Jamie Lee Burnett, 53, of Combs passed away May 20, 2025. He was born April 9, 1972, to Ike and Oma (Perkins) Burnett. Jamie is preceded in death by his mother and survived by his two girls, Savannah Burnett (James Keen), Samantha Burnett (Brandon Evans), his nephew Benjamin, and niece Aaralynn Burnett. He had two brothers, Ricky Burnett of Combs, Randy Burnett of St. Paul, a sister, Tammy (Steve) Tottey of Combs, and a sister-in-law, Kim Burnett of St. Paul. Nieces and Nephews, Joey Burnett, Travis Tottey, Aaron Burnett, Kayla Tottey, Kaitlyn Burnett, Logan Burnett, Emily Burnett, Rylee Cole, Emma Stephens and lifetime companion Sheila Burnett of Combs.
Jamie could operate any type of machinery he was put on, from dozers to backhoes, to road graders to mini ex’s. He could also build all vehicles. He was one of the best mechanics around. He always said, “I can fix anything but a broken heart, and I can work on them.” And he could ride a wheelie like no other. Jamie is and will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held 2PM, Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Crosses Comunity Church with Pastor Rex Eaton officiating.
