Janie Juanita Brasuell

Janie Juanita (Newman) Brasuell, 76 of Prairie Grove passed away, Sunday February 8, 2026, at her home. She was born March 28, 1949, in Fayetteville to Lloyd Newman and Bessie (Mitchell) Newman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 23 years, Don Brasuell, brothers, Leslie Newman, Carl Newman and Roger Newman and sister, Wanda (Newman) Underwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Treena Burnett and Nathan Barksdale of Pettigrew; two sons, Richard Evans of Prairie Grove and Micky Evans and wife Paulette of Pettigrew; sister, Brenda (Newman) Vangundy and husband John of Springdale; grandchildren, Heather, Hannah, Jacob, Brooklynn, Kurstein, Logan and Emily; eight great grandchildren; sister in law, Carrol Newman of Pettigrew; brother in law, Randy Underwood of California and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 2PM, Thursday February 12, 2026 with Micky Evans officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Madison County. Pallbearers will be: Jacob Evans, Stephen Gullege, Michael Mackie, Michael Porter, Nathan Barksdale and Michael Turner. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Logan Burnett, Chris Norman, Alan Newman, Levi Turner, Brian Turner, Brandon Turner.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
