John Lindell Lindsay, 82, passed away on September 15th, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
He was born on the 4th of July, 1942. John served in the Air Force in Puerto Rico and Roswell, NM. After service, he became a Master Electrician in Fayetteville, Arkansas before relocating to North Vernon, Indiana. In his golden years, he enjoyed retirement, traveling with his children, cheering on the Razorbacks, and spending time with his beloved Shih Tzu, Gigi, and his “grandpets” Buzz and Stormer. He is preceded in death by his son, Shawn Paul Lindsay; parents, Robert Dell Lindsay and Ruby Holland Lindsay and his wife Mary Geyman.
He is survived by his son, Corey Cook; daughter, Christy Lindsay; granddaughter, Caily Lindsay Cook; brother, Jerry Lindsay and three nieces, Dawnette, Lora, and Jerry Lynn and their families. He is preceded in death by his son, Shawn Paul Lindsay; parents, Robert Dell Lindsay and Ruby Holland Lindsay; and his wife Mary Geyman.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 5th, at 1:00 pm, at the Alabam Cemetery in Alabam, Arkansas with Military Honors present. Funeral Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to John’s favorite charities: St. Jude’s Hospital, Boy’s Town, Arkansas Air Museum, or any local homeless service.
