JoVetta Siler, 98, of Hindsville passed away peacefully in her home on,Sunday, April 6th ,2025.. She was born Edna Lois Howard on November 6th, 1926, in Avoca, and was later adopted by Cyrus Edgar Trammel and Elizabeth (Jones) Trammel after the death of her father. She grew up in the Richland View community and attended high school in Elkins.
JoVetta married Hubert Clarence Siler in 1944, and together they raised a family which she loved dearly. She was a hard worker who served the Lord, her family, and her community with her gift of hospitality. When her children were young, she cooked, cleaned, milked cows, raised chickens, and kept up with her boys and their steady stream of friends. Later, she was a cook at the Valley Inn Restaurant in Hindsville. Her home was a favorite destination for the grandchildren whom she doted upon, and she loved participating in church potluck dinners and bake sales at the House of Worship Church in Hindsville where she and her husband were founding members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Hubert Siler; three sons, Cary Hubert Siler, Larry Delbert Siler and Curtis Siler; one granddaughter, Misty Dawn Siler; one grandson, Denny Ray Siler.
Survivors include her son Lonnie Siler of Hindsville and wife Myrna and Eddie Siler of Springdale and wife Cheryl; as well as 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 3rd, at the House of Worship Church in Hindsville, AR with Lonnie Siler officiating. Private Burial will be at at Buckeye Cemetery.
