Lester Gene Puryear

Lester Gene Puryear, 91 of Hindsville, passed away December 30, 2023 at Countryside Assisted Living in Huntsville.  He was born October 17, 1932 in Spring Valley to Robert Samuel Puryear and Ola (Sanders) Puryear.  He served in the Army.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Church in Hindsville.  He enjoyed fishing.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy (Anderson) Puryear, his twin brother Lawrence Puryear, and his brother Max Puryear.

He is survived by his son Mike Puryear and wife Brenda of Hindsville; grandson Chad Puryear and wife Shawntill of Hindsville; and one great grandson, Keegan Puryear.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2PM with Lonnie Siler officiating at Burkshed Cemetery, 23103 Fate Anderson Rd, Hindsville, AR 72738. Pallbearers are Chad Puryear, Keegan Puryear, Willie Haley, Jeremey Watkins, Keith Satterfield, and Jeff Perry.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
