Linda Sue Parson

Linda Sue Parson, 85 of Huntsville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her home. She was born July 22, 1938 in Elora, Tennessee to the late Norman and Mary Alberdie (Brewer) Pendergrass. She was a longtime member of the Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved songs about Heaven and singing them for her Lord. She loved sewing, word puzzles, and having family around, especially for the holidays. She was a huge Razorback fan. She never missed a Thursday hair day with Patty.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 60 years, Raymon Parson, two sisters, and three brothers.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Vickie (Leroy) Gehrke of Springdale; sons Jeff (Rhonda) Chittwood of Hindsville and Byron (Susan) Parson of Huntsville; a sister, Mildred Murphy, of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren Jade Karnes, Johnathon Parson, Adam Gehrke, Kristie Parson, Cory Gehrke, Amanda Chittwood, Alex Chittwood, and Justin Goettsch; one great grandchild, Sawyer Carlton, another on the way, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5-7PM at the Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 11AM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Derry Birdsong officiating.  Burial will follow at the Huntsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Gehrke, Cory Gehrke, Johnathon Parson, Justin Goettsch, Zach Parker, Curren Parson, and Sawyer Carlton.  Honorary pallbearers are Kristie Parson, Alex Chittwood, and Amanda Chittwood. 

The family would love everyone to wear their best Razorback attire.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
