Loy Whiteley Jr. 44, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, July 03, 2024, at his home. He was born on January 12,1980 to Loy Whiteley Sr. and Connie (Eggestein) Whiteley
He was proud former Marine, where he served with distinction as an armorer. He was an excellent marksmen and marksmanship instructor who continued to hone his skills over the years. He spent many years in the transportation industry as both a driver and dispatcher. He worked for UPS for 20 years. Loy was a sweet, kindhearted, sensitive person who loved his God and family. He enjoyed the outdoors through hunting, camping, horseback riding, travel, animals and his farm. He was known for his generosity and stopped often to chat with those less fortunate to offer money and encouragement. We called him our protector and hero. He loved to have fun teasing and cutting up but switching from Grizzly to Teddy Bear whenever necessary especially for his sister and niece.
His departure from this earthly realm has left a gaping hole that can never be filled on this side of eternity. We will find each other again in the garden of time in the not-so-distant future.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Loy Albert Whiteley and Ilda Fern Boatright; maternal grandparents, Leo Henry and Ruth Velma Garroute Eggestein; sister, Gina Lyn Whiteley and niece, Emma Sue Whiteley.
He is survived by his parents, Loy and Connie Whiteley Sr.; sister, Jamie Sue Whiteley and niece Madison Sue Whiteley of the home, as well as a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
