Magnolia Thomas

Magnolia Thomas, age 50 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Thursday evening, August 27, 2026, at her home with her family around her, after a battle with cancer.

Magnolia was born on December 30, 1975 in Guadalajara, Mexico; the daughter of Telesfono Quintero Raya and Carmen Quintero-Aldaco Araujo. She was the youngest of nine children. She grew up in Mexico and moved to the United States in 2001, where she became a Naturalized United States Citizen on September 3, 2021; an honor she was very proud of.

On May 3, 2008, Magnolia was united in marriage to Jimmy Thomas in Eureka Springs, AR. They later moved to Nebraska City, where she worked at Arbor Day Farms Greenhouse. She loved this job and had worked there for four years. Magnolia was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Thomas of Nebraska City, NE; children: Edgar Quintero Aldaco of Guadalajara, Chase James Thomas and Layla Grace Thomas; two grandchildren, Axel and Yamileth; mother Carmen Araujo; 5 brothers, Pablo, Santos, Efran, Jaime, David, and 2 sisters, Rosa and Araceli; other family and friends.

Magnolia was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Rodrigo.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City, NE. A Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. at Arbor Day Farm.

There will be a visitation on Thursday September 3, at 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Madison County Funeral Service. A Graveside Service will be held at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora (Madison County) Arkansas on September 4th, at 10:00 A.M.

Interment arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service, 4373 S. Main Street, Hindsville, Arkansas 72738.
