Mardella Reeves, 94 of Huntsville, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 4, 1929 in Red Star, Arkansas to the late William Oliver and Louisia Jane (McFarland) Spears. She was a longtime member of Living Water Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and work her word puzzles. She loved her farm with her cattle and horses. She loved her flowers and was very fond of cardinals. She always had Sunday dinner at her house for any family that could be there. She was known in Huntsville for her coconut crème pies. She was a friend to many as they were to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Willie J.B. “Jake” Reeves; one daughter, Sharon Faulkner; great granddaughter Elahna Bea Mason, and ten siblings.
She is survived by her children Bob (Pat) Reeves of Hot Springs; Susan Fine of Huntsville; Dianna (John) Mitchell of Huntsville; Betty Hale of Huntsville; Jeff (Michele) Reeves of Huntsville; Jim Reeves of Huntsville; grandchildren Michael Eaton, Seth Reeves, LTC Patrick K. Reeves, Garrett Reeves, Alicia Marbut, Emily Melton, Casey Thomas, Stefany Hale, Alex Hale, Buck Mitchell, Tricia Davis, Cirra Williams, Angie Wray; great grandchildren Tori, Chaisy, Drew, Sawyer, Annsley, Katie, Johana, Jade, Xander, Beckett, Hattie, Natilie, Blaze, Nicholas, Zackery, Matthew, Jillian, Riley, Cory, Rhett, Tarmon; and one great-great grandchild, Charli.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 from 10-11AM at Living Water Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 11AM, Friday, November 10, 2023 at Living Water Baptist Church with Pastors Tim Gabbard and Larry Combs officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Red Star. Pallbearers will be Michael Eaton, Seth Reeves, LTC Patrick K. Reeves, Garrett Reeves, Clifford Marbut, and Alex Hale. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Fletcher, Matthew Marbut, Mike Madrid, Drew Reeves, and Riley Blake.
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
