With profound sadness, the family of Mark Edward Havens announces his passing on April 25, 2025, at his home in Cedarville, Arkansas, at the age of 59. Mark was born to Mary-Ellen and Army Sergeant Claude Joel Havens, Jr. Mark grew up primarily in Island Heights, NJ and attended St. Joseph’s Grade School, Central Regional High School and Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ. Although he happily moved to his Dad’s home state of Arkansas, embraced the county life with gusto, and started a beautiful family there, still a little bit of him remained a Jersey boy. He is survived by three amazing children, Jessica, Matthew and Braiden, spectacular grandchildren, brother, sister, nieces, nephews, and a host of wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mark was fun, adventurous, charismatic, boisterous, passionate, loving, and an animal-enthusiast – he even thought it was a wonderful idea to raise a fawn in his home. He was known for his sense of humor and love of a good joke, especially those from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Mark was almost always the first to say, “Let’s go fishing” or “Saddle up!” But he was always the first to say, “Let’s climb to the top of that really big mountain and roll/run/skateboard/ski down it!” Brakes were optional for Mark. He was one of a kind.
Mark was predeceased by his mother, father, younger sister, cherished pets and beloved fawn Darling.
