Melva Gabbard age 100 of Elkins passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born January 15, 1921 in Wesley, Arkansas to Theron Mason and Hattie (Burson) Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clifton Gabbard and eleven siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Drummond of Elkins; two sisters, Brenda McCall and husband Jess of Springdale and Martha Lewis of Huntsville; daughter in law, Judy Gabbard of Elkins; grandchildren, Bill Gabbard, Mike Gabbard, Tim Gabbard, Heather Childs, Terri White, Tammy Brannon, Tracy Adams and Tina Hart; eighteen great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2PM, Thursday, October 14, 2021 with Lynnville Eaton officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in Elkins . Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Gabbard, Mike Gabbard, Richard Childs, Tim Gabbard, Dean Brannon, Zach White, Roger Adams and Pete Hart.
