Michael Dwayne Leger, 45, of Huntsville passed away Wednesday, July 26,2023 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born November 6,1977 in Houston, Texas to Dexter and Charlene (Springs) Leger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Melissa Leger of the home; 2 sons, Eli Leger and Eton Leger of Huntsville; Sister, Jerushia Leger of Georgetown, Texas; parents, Dexter and Charlene Leger of Vidor, Texas; in-laws, Karen and James Werner of Vidor, Texas, Pam and Benn Sanford of Brookeland, Texas and Mike and Tasha Werner of New Braunfels, Texas and many other family members and friends.
Michael loved his family and friends. They meant the world to him. He was so proud of his sons and loved them with every fiber of his being. He said, “My beautiful gifts.”
He loved to camp, canoe and sit on the front porch drinking coffee and listen to the creek. Michael said, “Looking for the simpler life. Want to live a life of obedience to scripture and selflessness.”
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
