Michael Gary Peoples, 67, on July 3, 2026, went home to be with his lord and savior. He was living at the home of his daughter in Elkins, Arkansas.
Born on October 25, 1957, in Miami, Oklahoma, Michael was a native of Picher, Oklahoma. In his early life, he served and trained in the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, MO for Chemical defense and Maryland Weapons Control.
Michael is survived by his wife, Judy Hersey Peoples, daughters, Angel Stewart and husband Denny Stewart, Sherry Peoples, Michele Peoples, and Tiffany Peoples; grandchildren, Dalton Stewart, Alexis Peoples, and Lane B.;siblings, Vicky Carol Peoples, Jerri C. Peoples Parise, and Richard Darrell Peoples.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas “Buster” Briant Reeves and Letha Mae Ellington Peoples; his grandparents, Bertha Delores Canada Hunter and Fred; and his brother, Jimmie Dale Peoples.
From his early years in Picher, Oklahoma, to his service in the United States Army, Michael’s journey led him through many chapters of life. He later made his home in Georgia before returning to Arkansas near the end of his life.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to Circle of Life Hospice of Northwest Arkansas for the compassionate care, kindness, and support shown to Michael and his loved ones during his final days.
