Pamela Dianne Tanner, age 65, passed away on May 11, 2025, surrounded by the deep love of her family and the strong presence of her faith.
Pamela was born on April 25, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Thirlo and Berneice Roberts. She lived a life defined by compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to both her family and her calling. As a dedicated nurse, she gave her life to caring for others—offering healing, comfort, and kindness to everyone she met.
Pamela was the beloved wife of Charles Tanner, the devoted mother of Timothy Nash, Shelley Dorsey, Aaron Tanner, and Daniel Tanner, and a cherished daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a close bond with her siblings, Linda Harrison and Brent Roberts, and remained deeply connected to her parents throughout her life.
Pamela adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. They were the light of her life, and she took immense joy in every moment she spent with them—from gentle snuggles and shared prayers to warm laughter and stories that will be treasured forever. Her love for them was limitless, and her legacy will live on through the generations she helped raise.
Her life was grounded in her Christian faith. Pamela walked closely with God, prayed without ceasing, and extended grace to all who knew her. She led with love, lived with purpose, and inspired those around her to do the same.
Her legacy is one of faith, compassion, and family—a legacy that will endure through the lives of those she touched.
As a reflection of her faith, we remember the words of Psalm 73:26:
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Visitation and graveside services are family only. She will be laid to rest with her family in the St Marys Cemetery near Rose Bud, Arkansas on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
