Rickey Alvin Hall, 69 of Wesley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Edgewood Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born September 25, 1954 in Fayetteville to the late Alvie and Bernice (Calhoun) Hall. He was a member of the Huntsville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a 1973 graduate of Fayetteville High School and attended West Campus Vocational School in Culinary Arts. As a well-known chef in Northwest Arkansas, one of Rick’s greatest joys was preparing and sharing meals and creating new and tasty dishes. He enjoyed entertaining friends and family, owning several restaurants including Rick’s Iron Skillet in Fayetteville for 18 years. He was a member of the Chef's Association of Arkansas while working at the Ramada Inn, the Hilton, Butterfield Trail Village, and Chuck's Bakery. He gained knowledge and developed a reputation for various types of food, and he designed several kitchens and restaurants as well. While a member of the Chef's Association, he worked with many chefs and they donated time to different charitable foundations. He also cooked for Quick Builds, feeding volunteers and going to food shows with his boys. He had a sense of humor, loved telling stories, and loved his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping with his boys, and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Hall) Frazier and Johnny D Frazier and nephews Dougie Frazier and Rickey D Frazier.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Genie (Dixon) Hall of the home; his sons, Emmett (Mindy) Hall and JD (Rachel) Hall; a daughter that he raised as his own, Angella Nalley; a son Andy Hall; grandchildren Aleena and Millie Hall; grandchildren and great grandchildren Courtney {Dewayne, Tommy, Allef, La' Courtney, Bronsky}; {Sabra (Caleb), Ali, Penelopy, Paisley, Maddox}; Joshua; Jesse; Daminen; {Xandria (Samuel), Oakland and Tatum}, Talan; and Kylie; a bonus son, Aaron (Sarah) Watkins; a sister, Dollie (Sonny) Frazier as well as many nieces, nephews, and many extended relatives and dear friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 1PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Huntsville on Business Highway 412 next to the Highway Department.
Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
