Robert Louis Block

Robert "Luke" Block left this earth on April 17th, 2026, leaving behind a large void in his family and making this world a little less interesting. Luke was born in California in 1946 and made his way to Arkansas in the 1970's and always considered it home. In Arkansas, he found his love for farming animals and living off the grid. Luke had many jobs in his life but being a dad and grandpa were his favorite. He leaves behind a plethora of loving and treasured family including three children, a devoted son-in-law, 9 grandkids and a grand son-in-law, 1 great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. He was always up for an adventure and loved traveling and hiking, visiting many national parks in his travels with his beloved wife of 46 years Willow and with various kids and grandkids along for the ride. Luke was a huge Razorback and 49er's fan and loved going to games. What made Luke so incredible was his ability to relate and talk to just about anyone, which is why he has friends that span the globe. Throughout his life, Luke advocated equality for all and was never afraid to speak his mind or do what he believed was right, leading him to be an active participant in the civil rights movement in the 1960's in Alabama. His larger-than-life personality made an impression on everyone that ever crossed his path and everyone that ever met him has a "Luke" story, which we hope they will share at his Celebration of Life that will be held on June 21s, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. This will be a casual drop in event with music hosted by Lukes favorite sister and brother-in-law Judy and Jeff Goodwin at their home at 5238 Madison 3050 Huntsville, AR 72740.
