Robert (Bob) Lewis Young, 90 of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He was born October 22, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona to Lewis and Bessie (Doctorman) Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lois Fern Gwin and a grandson, Zach Tenberge
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Young; his son, Robert (Yvette) Young, daughter, Connie (John) Tenberge and stepsons Mark and Alan (Corina) Wisler.
Grandchildren, Lindsey (Grant) Belyea, Caleb (Jessica) Tenberge, Johnna tenBerge, Justin Young, Robert Young Jr., Wyatt (Chelsea) Young, Liam Wisler, Karly Wisler, Mark Wisler Jr. and Cassie Covington, 12 great grandchildren and a nephew Mac Gwin.
Bob had many jobs throughout his life. He started out as a PBX manager for AT&T back when they had switchboards. He managed a livestock sales yard, opened a lumberyard/hardware business and eventually moved to his farm on the War Eagle River to raise cattle. He was always happiest on the farm. When he retired from farming he realized he missed working and took a job at the charcoal plant until his passing.
Bob was a loving husband and father. He was known for his strong work ethic and a warm sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family.
