Roger Merle Glenn, 71, of Combs, AR passed away Wednesday, March 16th at 1:09 a.m. at his home. He was born January 5, 1951 to Robert Merle and Mary Louise Hill Glenn in Prairie Grove, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger married his wife, Shelia, on December 31, 1987 in Combs, AR. Together, they had two children, Kendra and Kendall. Roger worked as a logger for many years, creating many memories and making many friends who he cherished greatly. He, then, worked at Parker Wood Products for several years before not being able to work anymore. Roger enjoyed going to church with his family at Crosses Community Church in Crosses, AR. He loved his church family and thought very highly of them. Roger’s faith in God only grew stronger in his battle with cancer. His full trust was in Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Roger enjoyed laughing and joking around with his friends, watching Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith, and playing with his grandson, Fletcher Marue Glenn. He also enjoyed watching tv with his cat, Pepper. He loved spending time with his family and talking on the phone with his sister and brother, Linda and Ronnie.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Glenn of Combs,AR; daughter, Kendra Glenn of Combs,AR; son, Kendall Glenn and his wife Laticia of Rogers,AR; grandson, Fletcher Marue Glenn of Rogers,AR; sister, Linda Glenn Johnson and her husband Larry of Boston, AR; brother, Ronnie Glenn and his wife Julie of Springdale, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held10am Monday, March 21,2022 at Crosses Community Church with Pastor Rex Eaton and Pastor Bill Waggoner officiating. Pallbearers will be Andy Mullen, Robert Whelpley, Dana Lewis, Rick Eaton, Ron Eaton, and Bob Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Tottey, Dave Blanchard, Steve Glenn, Harold Perkins, Willie Walker, Gene Kimball, and Bob Moler.
