Ruby Johnson

Ruby Johnson, 93 of Springdale passed away on September 18th, 2021 at home in Springdale Arkansas. Ruby Johnson was born in Savoy Arkansas to Clarence and Lillie (Salisbury) Johnson she was born on July 7th, 1928. She went to school in Hindsville, Forum and Elm Springs. She married Thurman Lester (Lek) Johnson on October 11th, 1949. Her husband was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army.

Ruby Johnson is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lillie Johnson; her husband Thurman Lester; her son Lester Gene; her grandchildren Victoria Faith (Nodine) Woytowich, Thurman Andrew and John Lee Chamberlain Jr, Elizabeth Lane, John Thomas Franklin (Nodine) Woytowich, Gary Greenlee; her brothers Raymond (Jake), Earl (Bud), Albert, Faye; her sisters Mindy Kelly, Dorie White, Jane Vanover, Deeley Farris, Lucy Hearns, Dorothy Byrd; daughter in law Joyce Johnson and son-in-law John Chamberlain Sr.

 Ruby is survived by her children Thomas (T.J) Johnson, Dorothy (Johnson) Chamberlain, Earl Johnson, Barbara (Johnson) & Mike Woytowich, Caroline (Johnson) & John Lane Sr, Micheal (Mike) & Diane (Treat) Johnson; her 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 12 great greatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Visitation 4 PM, Thursday September 23rd, 2021, at The Church of Truth. Funeral services 10 AM, Friday September 24th, 2021, at The Church of Truth with Wesley McGinnis officiating (122 Tuttle Rd, Fayetteville (Goshen), AR 72703). Burial will follow at the Veterans cemetery (700 S Government Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701). Arrangements are by Madison County Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Colin Shepherd, Dustin Fuller, Jessie Johnson, John Lane III, Kenneth Lane, Lane Hackelton, Nicholas Shepherd, and Trenton Chamberlain. Honorary pallbearers Bianca Lane, John Lane Jr., Micheal Johnson, Nathan Thomas, Paul (Nodine) Woytowich, Robert Lane, Thomas Lee Johnson, and Vanessa Lane.

 Memorials may be given to the Spay & Neuter Clinic (Spay Arkansas 1909 Huntsville Ave Springdale AR 72762). The family of Ruby Johnson wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Wesley McGinnis and The Church of Truth, Bill Byrd, Diana Johnson, and Anna Lane.
