Tamara “Tammie” Rula, 69 of Flippin passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home. She was born November 28, 1953 in Santa Ana, California to Billy Ray Mauldin and Charlotte Ann (Cook) Mauldin.
Tammie was raising 5 of her grandchildren. Tammie worked in FAD, Compliance, and the F&C Divisions. Tammie helped design the DDHS involvement with National Adoption Day celebrations and was instrumental in streamlining the adoption process at DDHS. She was smart, gracious, funny, and hard-working. Such a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed!
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son, David Rula and wife Heidi of Mountain Home; daughter, TiAnna Rula of Flippin, two sisters, Terri Merrill and Trish McFarland both of Flippin; brother, Tom McFarland of Flippin; niece and nephew, Jaden Hewlett and Cory Merrill both of Flippin; grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Alex, Jenna, Alyssa, Gracie, Gabby and Niko and great granddaughter, Brynlee as well as many other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Flippin, Arkansas with Pastor Tim Bryant officiating. A viewing will be one hour prior to service for family. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
