Obituary

Velma A. Stout, 101 years old of Elkins went to be with her lord and savior on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1922 in Durham, Arkansas to John Wesley Turner and Sarah Ann Elizabeth (Corn) Turner. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 77 years, Cecil Stout; baby boy, Frederick Donald Stout; son in law, Chester McGaugh; three brother and five sisters.

Survivors include her two daughters, Lois Adler and husband Fred of Elkins and Joyce McGaugh of West Fork and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 10AM – 11AM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship. A funeral service will follow at 11AM with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at McCord Cemetery near Elkins. 

Pallbearers will be: Robert VanBrunt, Alan McGaugh, Jeremy Richardson, Austin Coleman, Donte McGaugh and Koby Gestring.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cody Hood, Shay Poe and Colton Hankins.

Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
