Verna J Bennett

Verna J. Bennett, 91 of Hindsville passed away, Friday, June 21, 2024 at her home. She was born January 11, 1933, in Madison County to Charles Carpenter and Goldie (Reynolds) Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Boyd Bennett; daughter, Linda Sue Johnson; sisters, Vernice Tisdale and Shirley Miller and brother, Clyde Carpenter.

Survivors include her five sons, Jim Bennett and wife Venita of Alpena, Jerry Bennett of Harrison, Terry Bennett, Roger Bennett and Randy Bennett and wife Mary all of Hindsville; brother, Larry Carpenter and wife Eulena of Forum; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; family friend, Merv Weaver of Wesley and many other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held 6:00PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, with Elder Bobby Young officiating. Burial will be at Boatright Cemetery. Funeral services will be under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville. www.madisoncountyfuneralservice.com
