Verne Everett McCoy of Huntsville, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born on October 15, 1939 to Fred Everett McCoy and Verna Benton McCoy in Des Monies, Iowa.
Verne enjoyed working on cars, cooking, talking to people and most of all his happy place; church, where he attended worship at the House of Worship in Hindsville, Arkansas. He married Rosemarie Sitkowski on July 13, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lewis McCoy, two sisters, Mary Fay and Shirley Nuenzel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie Sitkowski, one son, Vern McCoy, two daughters, Veronica (Gil) Offenbacker, Vernessa (Mark) Demrest and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the House of Worship located at 22174 Highway 303, Hindsville, Arkansas. A Funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the church with Pastor Terry Easterling officiating. Burial will take place at Sparks Cemetery in Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Vern McCoy, James Hall, Mark Demrest, Lonnie Wade, Derrik Warner and Harold.Miller
