Clarence Farley

Clarence Edward Farley passed away at Countryside Assisted Living in Huntsville, Arkansas, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, surrounded by loved ones.  He lived his life with great purpose, honor, and patriotism. Clarence loved his family and was devoted to his wife, Agnes.

He was born in Crum, West Virginia on July 11, 1923, and joined the Navy when he was 17.  Clarence served in both WWII and the Korean War with 12 years active duty and an additional 20 plus years in the Navy Reserves. He was a proud Navy Seabee. Clarence raised his family in Columbus, OH, and worked for the W.W. Williams, Co. as a heavy equipment mechanic and in management. Clarence and Agnes retired to the Huntsville, Arkansas area in 1978. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime member of the Huntsville Masonic Lodge 364.

Clarence was preceded in death by his mother Dove Endicott Farley; father Oscar Jennings Farley; brothers Donald and Jimmie; sisters Alene Beal and Patsy Messer; and son-in-law Jon Reinhard.

He is survived by his wife Agnes Stoisch Farley; son Charles (Nancy); daughter Mary Jo Reinhard; grandchildren Shana (Randy) Salsbury, Charles, Jr. (Michelle), Melissa (Vance) Stewart, and Jessica and Dana Paugh; and sister Judy (Jim) Bartrum.  Clarence is also survived by six great-grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter with one more on the way, nieces and nephews, and brother- and sister-in-laws.

Clarence was strong in his faith and has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 309 Church St, Huntsville, AR 72740 with The Rev. Georgia Senor officiating. Visitation will be prior to service. Burial will be at Clifty Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
