Velma Shepherd Obituary

Velma Lee Shepherd, 87 of Huntsville passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Springdale. She was born February 11, 1931 in Madison County to Daniel Arthur Laird and Siotha Dorsey-Laird. She was preceded in death by her parents; ten siblings; husband, Kenneth Shepherd; son, Charlie Lee Shepherd; grandson, Marty Dale Frederick and great granddaughters, Brittany Ann.

Survivors include her son, Kenny Shepherd and wife Millie of Huntsville; daughter, Pauletta Frederick and husband Loy of West Fork; grandchildren, Marsha Harris and husband Justin of Springdale, Tracie Villines and husband Donovan of Huntsville and Scotty Shepherd and wife Lindsey of Rogers; great grandchildren, Ethan, Isaiah and Caelan Harris and Chandan and Savannah Villines; caretaker, Nancy Ogden of Witter and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM at the Hilltop Church in Huntsville on Thursday, April 26, 2018. A funeral service will be held at the church on Friday at 10AM with Rev. Craig Villines and  Justin Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Buckeye Cemetery.
