Clyde Sparks Obituary

Clyde Wayne Sparks departed this life September 15, 2018 at the age of 66 .  He was born November 11, 1951 in Red Star, Arkansas, the son of Doy and Bertha Friend Sparks.  He was a truck driver for Cargill for several years and always enjoyed meeting and visiting with the farmers.  He later became a rock mason and constructed beautiful rock fireplaces, chimneys and retaining walls in North West Arkansas. His latest work was on Old Time Baptist Church, where he worked alongside friend, Jerry Wood.  He also enjoyed reading, the outdoors, and digging ginseng.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Arold, Troy, and James Sparks; one sister-in-law, Erma Sparks; and one brother-in-law, Ray Wyatt. 

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy and husband Allen Criss and Stacey Dewberry; one son-in-law, Clint Dewberry; five granddaughters, Tamara, Amber, Katlyn, Madison and McKenzie;  two sisters, Orphea Wyatt of Berryville Arkansas and Dorothy and husband Bernie Samuels of Fayetteville Arkansas; one brother, Wesley and wife Mildred Sparks of Harrison Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Vicki Sparks of Fayetteville Arkansas; a best friend, Spanky (Arlis) Woods and wife Evonne of Mossville; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Services will be held at Cave Mountain Baptist Church on September 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Lyman Carney and Jerry Wood officiating.  Interment will follow at the Cave Mountain Cemetery.
