Dean Wesley Gettys

Dean Wesley Gettys, 68 of Dean, Arkansas went to his heavenly home, Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Huntsville. He was born August 14, 1950 in Bell, California to Thomas Robert Gettys and Nellie Mae Keltner – Gettys. He spent his life studying God’s work. He made multiple trips to the Holy Land and while there was baptized in the River Jordan. His spare time was reading religious books and writing music. He was baptized as a young boy and dedicated his life to Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Robert Gettys.

Survivors include his sister, Winona Rousey and husband Steven of Berryville; nieces, Brenda Wigger and husband David of Dean, Gina Rousey of Rogers; nephew, Robert Dean Rousey and wife Eva of Bentonville and great nieces and nephews, Kandi and Marcos Coates, Ginger Wigger, Bronson Garrett, Brooklyn and Eric Michaud, Ciarrah Rousey-Rangel, Landon and Nina Garrett and Aubree and Travis Coates.

The visitation will be 2-4PM Sunday, March 31, 2019 in the Chapel of the Madison County Funeral Service in Huntsville. A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Monday, April 1, 2019 with Rev. Jerry Spurlock officiating. Burial will be at Dean Cemetery.

  Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
