Judith DeLaPorte Obituary

Judith Ann (Weaver) DeLaPorte, 86 of Huntsville passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her home. She was born December 12, 1932 in Marion, Indiana to Russell Weaver and Alta Delight Shockey-(Weaver) Seybert.

She married Robert DeLaPorte on December 22, 1950. Worked at the Trust Dept. and Court House in Marion, IN while raising five children and two foster children.

She moved with her family to Arkansas in 1972. She worked at the Bank of Elkins for 23 years while continuing to raise her children and was like a mother to many other children in the community.

Judith and Robert worked together often at restoring houses which was a passion of hers. She liked to cook, sew , work on crafts and was very devoted to her family. She was always ready to have as many family members around her as possible. She was a longtime member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church. She was proud to be the mother of four veterans, Dale(Navy) and Bobby, Susan and Mark (Army).

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Loren Weaver and Eldon Weaver; sister, Lorraine Paul; husband of nearly 50 years, Robert; eldest son, Bobby and great grandchildren, Brannon, William and Jacob.

Survivors include her children, Susan Horn, Sara(Jeff) Reeves, Dale DeLaPorte and Mark DeLaPorte; daughter in Law, Kelly DeLaPorte; brother, Charles Weaver; grandchildren, Angela(John) Simm, Sam May, Mike (Ashley) DeLaPorte, Anne McGowen, Miranda (Eric) Boothe, Tim (Angie) DeLaPorte and Misty DeLaPorte, Bob (Nicole) Reeves, Lauren (Andrew) Vanhook and Will Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews and fourteen great grandchildren and two more on the way the circle of life continues……

A funeral service will be 2PM, Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Hoffelder and Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinnacle Cemetery in Madison County near Elkins. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service.
