Richard "Shorty" Rowlins

Richard Lee Rowlins  63 0f Hindsville passed away Thursday March 16, 2023 in Northwest Regional Medical Center in Springdale.

He was born November 15, 1959 to Richard and Bernice ( Frederick ) Rowlins in Fayetteville.

Richard enjoyed having coffee and visiting with friends every morning at Andersons, he was a farmer and liked to clean chicken houses, he loved spending time with family and fishing with his son and son in law, camping with grandchildren, watching them play sports and dirt track racing.

He was preceded in death by his Father Richard, grandbaby Kenzley Baker, two brothers, Mike “Rod” Rowlins, Robert Rowlins and a sister Debbie Benedict.

Survivors include his Mother Bernice, wife Vickie of Hindsville, one son Richard James Rowlins of Huntsville, daughter Haley and husband Benny Baker of Huntsville, grandchildren Makenley Baker and Andrew Wade , great grandchild Keaden Wade all of Huntsville, brother Ricky “Rick” Rowlins of Huntsville, Sister Tammy Zielke, sister in law Miranda Rowlins, Mother in Law, Mary “Louise” Davis, several nieces and nephews and a very special great niece Kelsey, who was his fishing buddy.

Visitation will be  6-8 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Hilltop Church and services Tuesday 2:00 pm at Hilltop Church with Craig Villines officiating and interment to follow at Buckeye cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Wade, Jerry Cornelison, Elmer Lee Robertson, Jerry Frederick, Dwayne Gabbard, Randy Bennett and Doug Acuff, honorary pallbearers will be Phil Bolinger, Jerry Robertson, Benny Baker, Jerrad Thomas, Phillip Thomas, Kenny Joe Frederick, Jayden Hancock, Gary Edens, Jeff Corter, Dalton, Myers, Chandan Villines, Donovan Villines, Doyle Baker, Matthew Marbut, Mike Ingram, Steve Hudson and Dennis Litteral

Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
