Sharron Croddy

Sharron Croddy, 82 of Huntsville passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Countryside Assisted Living in Huntsville. She was born March 24, 1940 in Union County, Tennessee to J.W. and Lucille ( Blackmon ) Johnson. Sharron accomplished many things in her 82 years. She was a reporter for the associated press, she worked in special need children’s homes and she enjoyed taking flying lessons and going to rattlesnake round ups. Sharron had a master’s degree and taught school in Huntsville for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Croddy; daughter, Kendra ( Cat ) Croddy and a brother, Ted Kent Johnson. Survivors include a brother, Keith Johnson and wife Pam of Kokomo, Indiana.

A visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday January 16, 2023 at the Huntsville United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the church with Pastor Ryan Bachuss officiating. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
